About Me
My name is Tibor Kis. As a Hungarian citizen, I live in Budapest. I have worked in many countries of the world as a technical-economic expert in the light source industry. As an artist, I use the knowledge and experience gained during my work and studies. In addition to the outstanding masters of art history my creative approach was determined by Igor Snegur, Nikolai Vologzhanin and Pierre Szekely in whose studios I had the opportunity to spend a long time in Moscow and in Paris. I use traditional methods and digital tools to create my artworks. Creating is passion for me, looking for new surprises experiencing serendipity. In my gallery you can see examples for abstract and digital paintings. However, I was constantly experimenting to push the boundaries of painting. That's how my quasi monochrome painting series was born since 2005.
The works of recent years are characterized by the integration of various techniques into new synthesis. This process will hopefully contribute to ever stronger development of my unique style of painting.

There may be no better way to communicate what I do than through images. As you browse my site, take a few moments to let your eyes linger here, and see if you can get a feel for contemplate.

Digital painting
I started making digital paintings at the beginning of the twenty-first century. At first I rethought the works of great classical painters (eg. Miro, Hockney, Mondrian, Warhol...etc,) and created a new reality. Later, I become interested in the impact of artificial intelligence on visual culture.
Quasi Monochrome painting
I started experimenting with creation of structured factures on canvas in 2005. Most of the time I focused on layering of paints, adding and removing color and material to carve out the desired effect and unexpected harmony. My goal with this paintings is to create neutral meditative spaces for free thinking.
